It seems only right that Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter should reveal their latest permanent expansion during the midnight hour.

From March 31st, 2017, guests will be able to step into the Forbidden Forest on their trip to the Studios. You will pass by one of Hagrid’s original costumes as you walk through the gates, then make your way around and even underneath the roots of 19 giant trees as you venture deeper into the forest, eventually coming across a full-size model of Buckbeak the Hippogriff.

Of course, we all know that other far more sinister creatures lurk within the Forbidden Forest too. Those suffering from arachnophobia may wish to skip out on later parts of this new addition to the tour as you will come face-to-face with Aragog, the massive spider Harry and Ron met in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, along with his eight-legged family.

I’m a huge fan of The Making of Harry Potter tour and have visited it several times already, most recently for the annual Hogwarts in the Snow event, so I can’t wait to experience this latest addition. Given the attention to detail and impressive scale of the sets already in place on the tour, particularly the Hogwarts Great Hall and Platform 9 3/4, the Forbidden Forest promises to be a breathtaking, if somewhat terrifying, new feature. I’m not sure my husband will be accompanying me to visit Aragog–I’m not even sure I’ll be able to stay more than a few seconds! Regardless, I am already looking forward to heading back to Leavesden later this year to visit the Studios Tour once again.
