Whether you’re wearing fancy duds to work and want to hide your personality in your shoes, or you want to show off your style in a more obvious way, fun socks are pretty popular these days. And, with events such as Socktober, it’s becoming more widely known that new, clean socks are one of the most requested items at homeless shelters.

Take care of both your own style and the comfort and health of someone in need by checking out this new Kickstarter campaign by the Swanky Socks people.

There are about two and a half weeks left in the campaign, and they have a very modest goal to reach. Based in Sydney, Australia, the company sells their Swanky Socks on their own website, but you can get a great price through their Kickstarter campaign, especially with the U.S.-friendly exchange rate.

This is the world’s first monthly sock subscription where not only do you get super soft and swanky socks to wear as you will, but for every pair you buy, a pair gets donated to someone in need, at a homeless shelter, school, or community, beginning in Australia and New Zealand and eventually expanding to other parts of the world. They are also partnering with several worthy organizations to help serve those in need, with socks!

Swanky Socks offers particularly swanky socks, for sure. They have stripes, solids, polka dots, and patterns like paisley and camo. By the end of November, they’ll have about 80 different sock designs to choose from. With the sock subscription, you can choose to either receive a random pair that they select for you, or email them and request something specific. Plus, if you’re not completely satisfied, they will replace or refund your sock purchase. They think that these will be the best socks you’ll ever wear.

The Kickstarter campaign also has some interesting stretch goals as well, featuring socks made with New Zealand Merino wool, and even ones made from a mix of Merino and New Zealand possum.

Note: Though these photos show men wearing these socks, larger-footed ladies can enjoy them as well.

Consider backing this project today. You’ll get some pretty swanky socks, perfect for wearing with your fancy outfits, or just for everyday wear, and someone in need will benefit with a new pair of socks as well.
