Why? Well, let’s start with the amazing kids programming. Saturday has a “live action video game,” create your own hero, and anime classes. Sunday has a fantastic panel called “Geeklings & Parental Units Talk Cosplay,” which sounds completely up our alley. Then there’s a chibi drawing class and a 12:30 panel with Peter Paul, an animator on tons of shows, including GeekDad favorite Phineas & Ferb.
Tickets are *free* for children under 10. If you’re older than that, you’ll be paying $55 for a weekend pass or $35 for Saturday and $30 for Sunday. Think that’s a lot of money? I say to thee, look at the rest of the guests. It’s insane. As you can see from the above image, they’ve got Summer Glau, Sean Maher, and Jewel Staite of Firefly fame (Baldwin will be there too, but not a fan). You’ve also got Loren Lester (Robin from Batman: TAS ) and Phill Lamaar (the voice of your childhood, really).
Those are just the mainstream celebs. Throw in Steve Epting, Keron Grant, Travis Hanson, Russ Heath, Scott Koblish, Mike Kunkel, Jae Lee, Jimmy Palmiotti, Nick Spencer, and so many more awesome creators and it’s just… overload.
Still, people are on budgets these days; we get that. That’s why we’ve partnered with LBCC to give away five pairs of tickets. Just fill out the form below by midnight on August 31st, and we will randomly select five of you. You will be contacted directly by LBCC with tickets.
One way or another, see you at LBCC!
EDIT: Our winners have been chosen and should be hearing from LBCC soon!
