I’m very excited to be heading to SDCC next week–my first trip there in over ten years. One of the booths I’m looking forward to hitting is the Insight Editions booth.
Insight Editions publishes a ton of great books that we have often covered here at GeekDad and GeekMom, so it shouldn’t be a big surprise that their booth (#1703) will be full of not only great books but also plenty of activities and giveaways for attendees.
Here are just some of the highlights from the booth this year:
- All books are 30% off. If you’ve been waiting for a sale to nab some of their fine books, this is the time to do it!
- Ghostbusters giveaway. There will be a Slimer selfie banner and anyone who posts a picture to social media with the banner and hashtag #SlimerSelfie will get a free Tobin’s Spirit Guide poster.
- Giant coloring page. Insight Editions is releasing several coloring books later this year including DC Comics, Supernatural, Wonder Woman, and Assassin’s Creed. To promote the coloring books, there will be a giant coloring page for attendees to contribute to.
There will also be some great giveaways at the booth:
- IncrediBuilds Grand Prize Drawing. Enter to win the San Diego Comic Con IncrediBuilds Grand Prize–1 large-scale IncrediBuilds: Star Wars: R2-D2 and one of each of the following 3D Wood Model kits: Star Wars: R2-D2, Star Wars: TIE Fighter, Harry Potter: Dobby, Harry Potter: Golden Snitch, Marvel: Captain America, Finding Dory, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leonardo. The winning name will be pulled at 1:00 PM on Sunday. The winner must collect the prize by 5:00 PM.
- Daily Book Bundle Drawing. Enter to win a book bundle of Tobin’s Spirit Guide: Official Ghostbusters Edition, Hidden Universe Travel Guide: Star Trek: Vulcan, and DC Comics Coloring Book each day of Comic Con. Winning names will be pulled Wednesday at 8:30 PM, Thursday at 6:00 PM, Friday at 6:00 PM, and Saturday at 6:00 PM. Winners must collect prizes the same day as the drawing.
- The Strain: The Master Limited Edition Statue. Sign up for the Insight Editions monthly newsletter at the booth to be automatically entered for a chance to win The Strain: The Master Limited Edition Statue, created in collaboration with Sideshow Collectibles.
