Looking for a new album to play for your kids to help them get some sleep? Fortunately, Scarlet Moon Productions just released Prescriptions for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies Vol. II today, and it might be just what you’re looking for.

The album is by GENTLE LOVE, a musical duo out of Japan comprised of Norihiko Hibino (of Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta) on saxophone and AYAKI on piano. They teamed up in 2011 in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan and have toured the country with their music to use it to help heal.

This album follows in the footsteps of Volume I which was released last year and met with critical acclaim. Like last year’s album, this volume consists of ten tracks, with one notable difference: the last track, “Close Up,” is an original composition just for this album. Volume 2 has tracks from Final Fantasy IV and IV, Skyrim, Xenogears, DuckTales, and even Shovel Knight. Each track is a gorgeous tribute to both the music and the game. I look forward to putting it in the mix I play for my baby daughter to help her pass out at night.

Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies Volume II was released on LOUDR today, where it can be purchased.

Disclosure: I received a preview copy of this album.
