President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige announced today that Doctor Strange, starring the oft mispronounced Benedict Cumberbatch, will begin filming in November. Venerable GeekDad editor-in-chief Matt Blum reported the details today on Twitter. With Avengers: Age of Ultron opening in just under 3 weeks, expect more Marvel Cinematic Universe announcements to follow.
This feels like such a strange (see what I did there?) choice for a feature film. Doctor Strange seems like a much better fit for a smaller screen offering. I’m sure it will be awesome though.
As one HUGE Strange fan, this news made my weekend. So cool.
