A few years ago at the Bay Area Maker Faire, I got to try a fun game called Kooba. Here’s a chance to win a set for yourself!
The Kooba is sort of a magnetic dartboard—you hang the board on the wall and try to hit various targets with your magnetic “aeros.” But instead of throwing them with your hand, you actually use two long sticks. The sticks are inserted through the ring in the aero, and then you pull them apart to fling the aero forward. It’s tricky at first—you’ll fling a lot of aeros completely sideways—but once you get the hang of it, it’s really fun.
Kooba started off as a hand-made item, then funded its first run on Kickstarter, and is now in full production and hitting retail. I’ll be getting a set to try out for a full review, but Kooba is providing one set for a lucky GeekDad reader. (The winner should have it in time for Christmas or Kwanzaa, but it may be a little late for Hanukkah.) Just fill out the form below (or click here if it doesn’t work for you). We’ll take entries until 10pm PST on Tuesday, December 9, and pick a winner at random!
“Entries must be received by 10pm Pacific Time, Friday, June 20, 2014.” Time machine?
Sorry, thought I got that edited—the text in the body of the post is correct—deadline on Tuesday, December 9. You know, it takes a while for shipping these days… 🙂
I think you just figured out when and where time travel will start: It will be discovered by Amazon, and they will use it to have your package delivered just as you click the order button…
I think my entry won’t make it time… 😉

WHY U NO ALLOW CANADA!
Sorry, Jonathan, the makers are shipping directly to the winner and they specified US only.
That is a pretty fun looking game! Thanks for the giveaway
