This week, I was fortunate enough to represent GeekDad at the Make Hardware Innovation Workshop and saw a demonstration of a great project for electronics education. It is called LightUp, and upon first glance it is very similar to other electronics education systems. What sets LightUp apart is the Augmented Reality (AR) features. Check out the video from their website for a full explanation:
The founders, Josh Chan and Tarun Pondicherry, have backgrounds in education and engineering respectivly and are very sharp. The LightUp project won, by popular vote, the Hardware Innovation Workshop Pitches with Prototyes session. The LightUp Kickstarter campaign starts today and I encourage you to check it out!
