A Hungry Horse, Ice Cream-Eating Ducks, and a Mad Mayor in This Week’s Written by a Kid

Geek Culture

Sit back and enjoy the tale of La Munkya as told by Emily, who is (of course) in first grade. This incredibly hungry horse, which is made of paper, embarks on a journey that goes from the county fair to the county jail and involves banana split eating ducklings, penguins, and some turtles on spider webs. Of course, it is all very giggle-worthy!

To find out why Written by a Kid co-creator Josh Flaum calls Emily’s story “one of the greatest things I have ever heard in my whole life”, watch the episode. And if you want to learn more about what it takes to be an animator, like the talented folks over at Ghostbot Studios, check out the Animation 101 video they made to explain how they made La Munkya.
