Watch the Whole Phineas and Ferb Comic-Con 2011 Panel!

People Places

One week ago today, I had the pleasure and honor of serving as moderator for the official Phineas and Ferb panel at San Diego Comic-Con. I’ve been a huge fan of the show for over three years now, and being able to help — even in a small way — the show’s creators and cast connect with their large and growing audience was an experience I’ll not soon forget.

I’d moderated panels before, but never an official panel for a major Disney cartoon show. And I’d thought the audience we had for the GeekDad/GeekMom panel at PAX East back in March was big, but there were a little more than 1,000 people in the panel room last Friday — and they’d had to turn away quite a few more. I was nervous, and I think justifiably so, but I made it through without embarrassing myself, though I didn’t get to ask nearly all the questions I’d wanted to. With only an hour for the panel, and with that including introductions, video clips, and audience questions, the time I had for my questions seemed all too short.

Anyhow, thanks to YouTube user “kiyonekatz,” you can now watch the whole panel — excluding the videos — for yourself! I’ve watched most of it, though I frequently get very self-conscious watching video of myself, so I’m not watching it all at once. The video is in five parts, all embedded below — with parts 2 through 5 after the jump.

Be sure to come back here to GeekDad next week for my review of the show’s TV movie, Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, which will premiere on the Disney Channel next Friday at 8pm ET/PT (and will be available on demand for a few days before that). And if you haven’t yet, there’s still time to enter our giveaway of a Phineas and Ferb / Slash electric guitar!

Enjoy the videos! Be sure to watch/listen for each of the cast doing their respective voices, and listen for Dee Bradley Baker — whose range of voice acting talents is second to none — making several non-Perry-related noises as well.
