Weekend Project: Make a Vampire Bunny for Halloween

Geek Culture Hacking the Holidays

When I was a kid, one of my favorite books in the world was Bunnicula. So when I saw this Instructables project, I fell a little bit in love. I’m tired of the store bought stuff that’s become such a huge staple of the Halloween season, and I think taking the time to make something–especially with your kids–is a far preferable way to go.

And while I’m not the biggest vampire fan on the block (I admittedly adore True Blood, but that’s about as far as it goes) I appreciate the bunny-vampire hybrid. Especially with Halloween looming on the corner. Sure, not every geek parent out there is sewing-machine and embroidery friendly, but this is something that you can likely do with the whole family. Or even enlist a grandparent. The results are terrifically cute and perfect for the Halloween season. I want a whole fleet of these.
