Friend of GeekDad and internationally renowned chip tune musician Pixelh8, is appearing at the curiously named exhibition Space Invaders: Art and the Computer Game Environment. The event is FACT’s winter exhibition, and Pixelh8is taking part in a chip tune DS Marching Band.

  • 17 December, Public Spaces at FACT (Liverpool, UK) from 6.00pm – 8.00pm we will see SoundNetwork and artist Ross Dalziel present an orchestra using Nintendo DS’s and other devices to make noise and invade your space. An alternative after-school club for all ages, made up of sonic tinkerers from across the Northwest! Featuring customised PixelH8 software, Crackerbox amps, DS’s, Gameboys, and DIY electronic devices of all kinds.
  • 31 Januar, The Box at FACT (Liverpool, UK) , 11.00am – 4.00pm you can then join Pixelh8 and his Chiptune Samba Band. Ideal for children aged between 5-12 years and their parents/guardians. This is a day-long workshop were you and your family can work with Pixelh8 to explore and experiment with his newly developed software, Pixelh8 Music Tech Pro Performer Synthesizer. Bring along your Nintendo DS and be part of FACT‘s first ever DS Band!
