The annual Perseid meteor shower peaks this weekend, and it promises to be a good one. No moonlight means dark skies for great shooting star viewing! Experts say this will be a "so-so" year for the Perseids, but that still could mean up to 30 meteors per hour at the peak. Citydwellers would do well to find an viewing area with less light polution. Peak viewing time will be from late night August 12th to early morning August 13th. Bone up on your Perseid trivia to impress the kids!
