The bounty hunters have reached a truce and will now attack the bandits, together.
Inuyoshi, Yukichi, Gen, Usagi, Stray Dog, and the rest take action and learn where the bandits are hidden. They know that they are outnumbered, so the element of surprise is important to get an advantage.
However, plans sometimes fail, and Jimmu is alerted by his crow to the bounty hunters’ approach. Jimmu abandons his men, but that does not guarantee his escape.
Inuyoshi, hurt in battle, will ask for Yukichi’s forgiveness and issue him a new samurai sword, replacing the one he destroyed.
Once the battle is over, there is a surprise ending for Stray Dog and the orphan kid who helped the bounty hunters with their pursuit.
