Usagi’s nephew Yukichi has been spotted by a skinny kid, who has decided to sell this information to Usagi, Gen, and Stray Dog.
The bounty hunter group—led by the ruthless Inuyoshi—is holding Yukichi hostage and has not killed him yet, only because Inuyoshi is an honorable man.
Nothing is as it seems though, because the gang is made up of a bunch of rogues who are constantly rebelling on Inuyoshi, they are lazy and not vigilant enough.
As a result, they fail to prevent the rescue attempt. When the confrontation between Usagi and the bounty hunter is about to leave many dead, a vigil appears and alerts all of them about the real size of bandit Jimmu’s army, and then, a surprising allegiance ensues.
To defeat Jimmu, everybody has to leave their differences aside, even the released Yukichi.
