There’s a new, geeky coffee company in town! Pop Culture Coffee is a new brand that pairs popular fandoms with quality coffee beans to produce limited-run, branded blends of coffee. All of Pop Culture Coffee’s limited-run coffees are produced from 100% organic, fair-trade Arabica beans with natural flavors.
First out of the gate is their partnership with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to produce a line of coffees and cold brews based on the new film, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The coffees are currently available to preorder and are due to start shipping in April.
The first two coffees available are ECTO-ESPRESSO, “a caramel-chocolate blend featuring the franchise favorite Slimer,” and PUFTMELLO, “a vanilla-marshmallow manifestation depicting the Mini Stay-Pufts.” The ground coffees retail for $17.99 and are only available from the Pop Culture Coffee website.
ECTO-ESPRESSO is also available as a canned cold brew coffee at $10.99 for a can or $39.99 for a case of four.
On the horizon are two additional Ghostbusters flavors: DEATH CHILL, “a chocolatey-minty libation best served iced cold,” and STAY S’MORED, “a blend that evokes everyone’s favorite campfire confection.” Additional flavors will be released throughout the year including PARANORMAL PECAN, “a medley of candy, pecan, and waffles,” and PHANTASMAL FUDGE, “a gooey brownie flavor blast.”
But that’s just for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Pop Culture Coffee also has coffee from another very popular fandom on its way. I’ll let the picture speak for itself:
