Scary Godmother Doll on Kickstarter

Forget American Girl Dolls — Geeks Want a Scary Godmother Doll!

Comic Books Entertainment Toys

Looking for a doll for your little ones that’s far geekier than the run of the mill Ken and/or Barbie? Then have we got a Kickstarter project for you! Jill Thompson — comic book artist extraordinaire — is bringing one of her fan favorite creations out as a doll.

Scary Godmother has already seen life as a captivating illustrated book series and a Cartoon Network cartoon series. But Jill has been working with sculptures for the last few years to bring us her fan favorite creation as a fully articulated — not to mention gorgeous — doll.

According to Jill on the Scary Godmother Doll Kickstarter page:

This Kickstarter is to fund the production of a Scary Godmother Fashion Doll. Kind of like Barbie but much, much cooler. 😉 She’s bigger, better, redder, curlier, pointier, magicky-er and more meow than your usual dolls.

She will be articulated at her head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, ribcage, waist, hips, knees and ankles.

Right now, the funding is getting close to the half-way mark with about two weeks to go. There are variety of pledge options, but the one you want is the $50 level, which will get you the doll, and really, that’s what this is all about. So pop on over and get yours now and then spread the word so that this kickstarter is a success!
