So, as far as I can tell, no one has made a working, purchasable Bluetooth replica of the Uhura/Spock ST:TOS communications earpiece, which should be pretty darn easy these days. This Comsoon in-ear Bluetooth earpiece is basically like one of those hands-free units that became ubiquitous last decade for people showing off how busy and important they were. Well, I think we’ve moved past that, since the tech can make them so small now they’re not showy anymore, which is nice. Even better, this one just plain feels like the old ones from Star Trek. And, sticking with the Bluetooth theme today, the idea of combining a Bluetooth speaker into a color-changing LED lightbulb has been around for a while, but it still pretty cool – especially as a nightlight for little kids going to sleep with soothing sounds.
