Kickstarter Alert: Greg Weisman’s ‘Rain of the Ghosts’ Audio Play

Greg Weisman’s YA Novel is coming to a set of headphones near you.

Greg Weisman is a name near and dear to my heart. I religiously watched Gargoyles in my younger years, truly enjoying the world painted before me. In recent years I quickly became addicted to Young Justice. It had a take on the DC Universe that I wish was the main voice in the comics.

Last week, Weisman launched a Kickstarter campaign for an audio play based off of his recent foray into supernatural young adult literature: Rain of the Ghosts. The series follows a young girl in the Caribbean who has the ability to see and talk to dead people. It’s been critically celebrated, and Stan Lee is quoted on the back of the book calling it “the perfect book for the young adult reader.” That alone sounds like a great project!

This project kicks it up to the next level with its voice acting cast. Pooling from talent from practically every show Weisman has been involved with in the past including Ed Asner, Jim Cummings, Jacob Vargas, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Steve Blum, and so much more. It’s a truly impressive lineup that will be orchestrated by Dynamic Music Powers, the music team behind Spectacular Spider-Man, Young Justice, and many other projects. Seeing all the talent in the Kickstarter video actually gave me goosebumps.

The project is a week in and almost at the halfway point. For more about the Rain of the Ghosts Audio Play Kickstarter, or to back the project, visit the Kickstarter page.
