The 1986 CBS sci-fi animated series Galaxy High seemingly had everything going for it. It was created by visionary filmmaker Chris Columbus with a theme song composed by Eagles guitarist Don Felder and a patently ’80s premise: two Earth teens, a nerd and a jock, are accepted into an intergalactic high school.

Unfortunately, the show only made it through a single 13-episode season before cancellation. Since then, it’s popped up a time or two on Syfy and on Nickelodeon internationally, but it’s largely remained a forgotten cartoon classic.

Thankfully, Belfast synth-rock troubadour Alpha Chrome Yayo remembers, and just this week he favored us with a cover of the show’s vocoder-heavy theme.
