This morning Walt Disney Studios released a short teaser for the upcoming live action epic Mulan!
I personally am eagerly awaiting this film, in a large part to see how Disney handles what will essentially be a wuxia style film, like Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (one of my favorite films).
A couple weeks ago I had written about the Ming-Na Wen panel I had attended at Denver Pop Culture Con where she had given the audience a heads up that the live action Mulan would not have the same music and humor that we have loved over the past two decades in the animated version. I absolutely cannot wait to see my favorite badass #princessbutnotreally brought to live-action life on March 27, 2020.
