Gaming News
- Boardgamegeek.com has announced the list of winners of its annual Golden Geek Awards. The top prize went to Root. You can view the complete list of winners on their site.
- Hunter’s Entertainment and Skydance Media entered into a multi-year licensing agreement that will see Hunter’s produce an RPG based on the Netflix series Altered Carbon. They plan to begin with a crowdfunding campaign for the core rules later this year.
- The Ticket to Ride universe is expanding once more with the release of Ticket to Ride: London, a fast-paced version of the game whereby players use double-decker buses to build connections around Britain’s capital. It sounds very similar to last year’s New York edition of the game. It’s due to be released in Europe in June and the US in July, where it will be a Walmart exclusive for a limited time.
- Plaid Hat Games has announced Abomination, a sequel to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, where players compete to build the monster a companion. The game will be available this summer but can be preordered from the link above.
- Fans of The Clone Wars will be delighted to hear that Fantasy Flight is adding the long-running series to two of its Star Wars games. Destiny is getting General Grievous and Obi-Wan starter packs, while Legion is getting a Clone Wars Core Set.
- Modiphius has released a print version of the Conan the Brigand book, which had previously only been available as a PDF.
- Artsee, a game from Renegade Studios about building an art gallery, won’t be out until June, but you can preorder it now.
- In similar news, Z-Man is taking preorders for Noctiluca, but they’re adding an extra carrot: free shipping within the continental US.
