Before anyone had even heard of that other convention, New York was well-served by Big Apple Comic Con. Affectionately nicknamed “churchcon” by some (for initially being held in the basement of a church), it has had a long and storied history.
Since 2015, the convention has been in the hands of the founder of the show, and those hands are good ones.
This year, BACC will be at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, and the guest list is impressive as heck. Some luminaries include:
- William Shatner (Star Trek)
- Mark Texeira (Black Panther, Wolverine)
- Tony Isabella (Black Lightning, Luke Cage, Captain America)
- Frank Cho (Spider-Man, Avengers, The Hulk, Skybourne)
- Jim Steranko (S.H.I.E.L.D, Captain America, X-Men)
- Jae Lee (The Dreaming, X-Factor, Hellshock)
- Mike Colter (Luke Cage)
- And oodles more!
Plus there’s the usual artist’s alley, cosplayers, and comic dealers. Tickets are on sale now, but we’re giving away two pairs of Sunday tickets. Just fill out the below form and we will let you know. Contest ends on 3/4 at midnight EST.
Good luck!
And for those of you who don’t want to take their chances, snag your tickets now.
