Gaming News
- Got any tragically uncool friends who refuse to play games with you? Maybe this video will help.
- Z-Man Games released The Great City of Rome this week. It’s a tile-laying game about, you guessed it, Rome.
- It’s a pretty well-kept secret, but in case you haven’t heard: the Captain Marvel movie comes out soon. USAopoly… or, uh, I mean The OP, is getting in on the action with Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls, a hidden identity game.
- Wizards of the Coast will no longer put an MSRP on Magic: The Gathering, in an effort to make the game easier to sell to the global market.
- Can’t get enough of Fluxx? Secretly hoping to get pulled into a game and have to live it out IRL? Then, good news: Looney Labs has announced development of Jumanji Fluxx. They are also going to make Marvel Fluxx, so you can finally get your hands on something with the Marvel name attached.
- I’ve never gotten into Heroclix before, but this might just be the thing to get me to look at it: WizKids is going to create a line of the game based on The Orville.
- Love Letter is getting a new edition, with all-new artwork and two new characters that will allow up to six players. My theory is that there are two types of people out there: those who adore Love Letter and those who haven’t played it. The Premium Edition of the game is our featured image this week.
- In perhaps the most meta crossover ever, Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro are joining forces to release the Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set. It’s D&D 5E but allows you to play as the characters’ characters from the show.
- Mountaintop Games, the folks who made The Primary, my favorite game from last year, are having a contest where you can win a copy. Check out their website for details on how to enter.
