Re-Roll: This Week’s Tabletop Game News for Week 1 of 2019

Featured Gaming Re-Roll Tabletop Games

The board game (and board game-related!) news that caught our attention for the week ending January 4, 2019.

Gaming News

  • The big news around here, of course, is the announcement of the 2018 GeekDad Game of the Year: Cryptid. Check out the detailed write-up, and, of course, it’s our featured image this week.
  • You will recall Re-Roll’s announcement almost a year ago about a Harry Potter edition of Munchkin. You might be glad to know it’s now available.
  • If you like to party, and you like to play card games, you might want to check out Party Bugs, an upcoming title from Z-Man that’s available for pre-order now.
  • Otherwise, it’s another pretty slow week in gaming, so I’ll just include this note that Suspicion, one of my family’s favorite games, is being reprinted by Ravensburger. You can also get the ever-so-slightly older Wonder Forge edition from Amazon, and other than the publisher’s name, I don’t see anything noting any differences.
  • Finally, in sad boardgame news, we learned from John Kovalic’s tweet that Darwin Bromley, founder of Mayfair Games, passed away this week.
