Using Car DVR loop recording mode will capture video in a repeating loop, overwriting the oldest content as storage fills. Saving the most noteworthy shots after the fact with Drift’s signature video tagging is easy, especially with the Drift Life application. The app can connect to the Ghost X (and other Drift cameras), creating the smart viewfinder that is so desperately missing from many other action cameras. The full catalog of accessories for the Drift family of cameras includes mounts for handlebars, rollbars, shoulder-straps, vented helmets, and standard mounting points. While the Ghost X is IPX4 rated, meaning it can be safely used in the rain (or mud or snow or whatever trouble the user is getting into), a waterproof case is capable of reaching depths of 131ft (40m) while retaining access to all the device buttons, the mounting system, and a full view of the screen.
