Re-Roll: This Week’s Tabletop Game News for Week 50 of 2018

Featured Gaming Re-Roll Tabletop Games

The board game (and board game-related!) news that caught our attention for the week ending December 21, 2018.

Gaming News

A quick summary of this week’s board game news:

  • Pandemic, it turns out, was released a decade ago, and Z-Man has thus put out a special 10th-anniversary edition that comes in a cool new metal case, includes miniatures instead of pawns, and new design on the cards.
  • Battlestar Galactica Starship Battles Starter Pack is now available. For those that want the thrill of miniatures combat with the ability to shout “Frak!” when you blow up, this is the game for you. It’s our featured image this week, so you can see that at least the minis are pretty fantastic, and keep your eyes out for an upcoming review here on GeekDad.
  • Fireside Games has announced the upcoming release of My First Castle Panic, a version of the classic cooperative game that simplifies the rules and removes reading, making it a much better way to introduce your kids to gaming than activities like Candyland. It is due to be released in March 2019.
  • Claim, a trick-taking card game from the designer of the Tiny Epic series and published by Deep Water Games, is now available for pre-order.
  • Greater Than Games has acquired Nevermore Games, and will take over completion of fulfillment for Nevermore’s Dark Dealings: Dwarven Delve Kickstarter.
