This is the coolest thing that I’ve seen out of LEGO in a while. You build scenes from these stories inside a LEGO “book” that you can then close! Open the book again and the scene comes to life, just like a regular pop-up book. But in LEGO.
Create Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother’s cottage and go for a visit in the woods. Or build the beanstalk and help Jack search for the giant’s treasure. Alternately, you can build your own scene and stage an original fairy tale story.
This amazing new set includes new minifigures of Little Red Riding Hood, Grandmother, the Wolf, and the Giant, as well as a microfigure of Jack.
The set includes a booklet with building instructions, a short history of pop-up books and of the two stories in the set, and information about the set’s designers.
The finished set is over 7″ long and 5″ wide when closed, and over 11″ wide when open.
The set will retail for $69.99 and is, for sure, going to be on a lot of wish lists for the holidays this year. Mine included.
They’ve also put together a video showing the LEGO Ideas sets from the past 10 years.
