Bodaciously Awesome Family Show: Close Encounters of the Third Kind

This is important. It means something.

The cinematic education of my eldest child continues! He was 10 when I showed him this – and I wasn’t sure if he would “get it” or not. This isn’t an action-packed movie that usually keeps the attention of a child. Instead, this is important. It means something.

He did “get it.” He even dove a bit deeper into it as well by reading a giant “making of…” book about it. At some point I probably need to show him classics beside Spielberg movies (like here or here)… maybe.

I noticed that Flashback Cinema (a company that shows classics on the big screen a few times a week throughout the Country) was showing it this week. Might have to break out the MoviePass (assuming they are still in business later this week) and take the kid again.

Adam DiMuzio: Adam and his sons (Anthony and Zachary) host the Bodaciously Awesome Family Show. A podcast dedicated to helping maximize their kids experiences, and for kids to reap the fun. Right now they are likely playing a game, watching a movie or mindlessly arguing over which of us is more awesome.
