Last Week to Back ‘Raccoon Tycoon’

Gaming Kickstarter Tabletop Games

This is a sponsored post.
Raccoon Tycoon from Forbidden Games has about a week left in its Kickstarter campaign, and are steaming ahead through stretch goals. In case you missed it, check out my review (based on a prototype) for more about how the game works.

Since posting my review, though, the components have been upgraded. Here’s a run-down of what’s already funded:

  • Premium card stock with a linen finish for the cards
  • Railroad and Town cards are now larger, tarot-sized cards
  • Building tiles are also extra thick with a linen finish
  • The box is bigger and has a linen finish
  • Paper money will be premium, “currency quality” bills
  • Game board has been upgraded to a larger size and linen finish
  • Wooden commodity tokens are now shaped tokens instead of cubes
  • Plastic insert helps you keep the game organized
  • Every Town card will have unique artwork by Annie Stegg Gerard
  • Start Player token is now a wooden raccoon meeple

A few more goals await: metallic ink on the box cover, all cards, and the building tiles. I’m not sure if there are more stretch goals waiting in the wings, but it’s already looking really nice for the $49 pledge price.
