Bodaciously Awesome Family Show: Blue Man Group LIVE!

BAFS Podcasts

Going to theme parks is one thing—but what else can you do while bouncing around Orlando? Theme parks are tiring and sometimes you need a break from the constant GO of it all. Thankfully there are plenty of other distractions to fill your time with great experiences. One of those is at CityWalk at Universal Orlando: The Blue Man Group.

For the uninitiated, The Blue Man Group is part rock concert, part performance art, part street theater, part mime show. Three actors in drab, dark clothing and blue latex play drums and make jokes… without saying a thing. I swear—it’s better than that description! The question is—can we take two parents, two kids of wildly different ages, and Grandma to a show and have everyone like it?

PARENTAL NOTE: This show (both The Blue Man Group and this week’s podcast) contain a good amount of potty humor. Part of the show involves dropping giant balls from the ceiling. Then, they start asking for their balls back. The 11 year old loved all the “please return our balls” announcements (and he talks about that on the episode).

Remember, you can listen to a recap of our Orlando Theme Park episodes: Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom here, Animal Kingdom here, EPCOT here, and strange food in EPCOT here.

You can listen via iTunes, Stitcher, or Google Play Music; you can also follow the RSS feed or listen below!

Remember, if you leave us a comment on iTunes with your name, we’ll give you a special shout out on a future show. You can connect with the show on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. We took the granddaughter to see the Blue Man Group last October and we all had a blast. We will seeing them again.

One word of warning – be on time. You do not want to enter late.
