Tom Cruise stunts, merfolk, misaligned MCU follow-ups, and big-time gaming sequels make up the latest edition of Trailer Theater, with your look at the best film and gaming trailers of the past few weeks.

Coming soon to a theater near you…

Mission: Impossible – Fallout – The Mission: Impossible series remains one of the strongest action franchises active today. Tom Cruise is legendary for doing his own stunts in these films, and Fallout appears to up the game even more. There’s even an air of Thanos in this trailer, with Sean Harris’ Solomon Lane ominously warning; “the greater the suffering the greater the peace.” Fallout hits theaters everywhere on July 27th.

Bohemian Rhapsody – Rami Malek plays Freddie Mercury in a biopic about Queen! Oh, and the Queen mix created for this trailer is absolutely epic. Check it out in theaters this November.

The Predator – While this trailer doesn’t really impress with its standard formula of action, be aware that this new Predator film is directed and written by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon), who also had a role as Rick Hawkins in the original 1987 Predator film! The Predator is due out on September 14th.

BlacKkKlansman – Just watch this trailer. Spike Lee directs this unbelievable true story and the end result looks to be one of the more fun, stylistic, and crazy films of 2018. Don’t miss it when it hits theaters this August.

Hereditary – Well, this looks unsettling. Horror is on a stride right now, and that streak looks to continue when Hereditary hits this June.

Lu Over the Wall – Japanese director Masaaki Yuasa has made the year’s most colorful and musically energetic anime film about merfolk. Gkids is set to release Lu Over the Wall later this month.

Ant-Man and the Wasp – Ant-Man is personally my least favorite of the MCU heroes, and I just don’t know how this will hold up as the Marvel follow-up to the biggest movie of all time, Infinity War. We’ll see come July.

Coming soon to a gaming console, PC, or tabletop near you…

Rage 2 – A follow-up to 2011’s post-apocalyptic Rage from Bethesda! We won’t see this until Q2 of 2019, but at least we know it’s coming.

Star Wars X-Wing 2.0 – Prepare to give more of your hard earned money to Fantasy Flight Games, as they just announced a new, second edition of the ever-popular X-Wing tabletop game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 – Yet another sequel, but this one is a long time coming. Get ready to head back West when Rockstar finally releases the follow-up to the game-changing 2010 release of Red Dead this October.

Atomic Heart – I’ve seen this game dubbed as the Russian answer to Bioshock, and judging from this trailer, that’s something I’d very much like to play.
