Mother’s Day is a unique problem for me (and maybe for other Dads as well). I need to get the kids to think about a special gift for mom. Keeping it creative and fun while still special and personal.
This year they’ve decided that they want to take her out somewhere. I knew it couldn’t be to something like Marvel Universe: Live. I needed to help steer them to something more appropriate. They decided on a fancy dinner. I immediately flashed back to this experience: taking them on their first trip to Maggianos. The biggest takeaway for them wasn’t the food or ambiance, however. No. The thing that impressed them the most? The revolving door outside.
Thankfully, I get them off the topic of revolving doors and onto the overall experience.
