Let’s admit it, none of us thought we’d ever see a Star Wars movie as divisive as The Phantom Menace. Love it or hate it (apparently, there’s no middle ground), The Last Jedi is finally out on Blu-ray. Which is perfect timing as we get ready to forge ahead and look backward with next month’s Solo: A Star Wars Story.
No one said being a Star Wars fan was easy. Or chronologically logical.
Anyway, the latest episodic installment of the Star Wars saga is now yours to take home, chock full of special features and ready for your family movie night, middle-of-the-afternoon splurge, or just anytime viewing. But you probably already knew that.

Listen, even if you hate the movie, I think there’s no disagreement that John Williams is a national treasure, and EVERY Star Wars movie deserves a score-only version. If you’re still one to buy physical media, you should know that The Last Jedi comes in a few different versions. The Multiscreen Edition (formerly the Blu-ray Combo Pack) includes the Blu-ray and a digital copy. The 4K UHD Collector’s Edition includes a 4K Ultra HD disc (with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos) on top of the Blu-ray and digital copy. And there’s also a plain vanilla DVD version for everyone still living in 2003.
The days of DVD and Blu-ray releases just busting at the seams with special features seem to be behind us, unfortunately. But The Last Jedi has a fair bit of bonus surprises to satisfy your craving for more. The digital version comes with all of the special features included on the disc, which is always a nice touch. But what can you expect?

- Balance of the Force: Explore the mythology of the Force and why Rian Johnson chose to interpret its role in such a unique way.
- Scene Breakdowns for three separate scenes, and get a glimpse of the practical effects, visual effects, and motion capture that brought it all to life.
- Andy Serkis Live! (One Night Only): Rian Johnson presents two exclusive sequences from the movie featuring Andy Serkis’s performance before his digital makeover into Snoke.
- Deleted Scenes: More than a dozen clips that didn’t make the final edit, including an alternate opening
- Audio Commentary: Feature-length audio commentary with Rian Johnson.

Now’s the calm between storms, so it’s the perfect time to pop in The Last Jedi, revisit its awesomeness, and make it a party. Rebels is over. Solo hasn’t come out yet. We have an entire year to go before Episode IX. So don’t be shy.
