At the beginning of the year the kids and I sat down to map out our “Fun Year’s Resolutions.” I didn’t want them focusing on traditional resolutions, but fun things to do. We naturally discussed movies we wanted to see but I also challenged them to think a bit grander. One thing they came back with was “visit theme parks.”
So we did. It’s a great benefit of living in Florida. Recently we visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom. A place where they’ve both been before. Zachary, however, didn’t remember it (he was much younger when we had gone) and Anthony was interested in some of the new attractions (Pandora and the nighttime show).
Not only did we accomplish some of the new items, but we went back and revisited old favorites. Plus, I made a special point to make sure we hit Anthony’s least favorite attraction of all time. His reaction is… special.
