As I noted over the weekend, this month marks the first anniversary of Nintendo’s amazingly successful Switch home video game console. It’s proven a fine time for fans (and us media-types) to reflect on their favorite gaming moments, and WaterField Designs, easily GeekDad’s favorite purveyor of high-quality cases and accessories, has chosen to mark this first birthday in style. Not only is WaterField rolling out a Limited Edition Retro red model of their classic City Slicker Case, they’ve even been moved to launch a brand new product.
The SwitchPack is a more generous take on the previous Arcade Gaming Case, designed to hold a charger, a small portable battery pack, and the Switch with Joy-Cons still attached. It’s available in black ballistic nylon (with black or chocolate leather accents) or rugged tan waxed canvas for a price of $129.
