Feed Your Frankenstein With New ‘Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle’ Pinball Machine

What started as one man’s love for the macabre and pinball has turned into a thriving business which has produced the latest must-have pinball machine—Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle. The newest release from Spooky Pinball has been known to be in the pipeline for some time now, but the complete and playable game was recently unveiled at the Texas Pinball Festival in Frisco, Texas March 16-18, 2018. With a name like Spooky Pinball, you know that horror plays a large roll in this family run company located in Benton, WI, but the small yet innovative company has delivered a variety of themes leading up to Nightmare Castle including their best-selling game to date: Total Nuclear Annihilation. TNA earned the “Pinball News Game of the Year” honors for 2017, however, based on what we’ve seen so far, Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle has a definite shot at the 2018 title.

Here’s what we know so far. From photos and videos we can see the fan layout-based games has plenty to shoot for including 2 main ramps, inner horseshoe loop, outer orbits, a scoop, and the upper level of the castle boats another flipper and drop targets. The game reportedly features over 700 unique call-outs from Alice Cooper himself, and will feature ten of his most well-known songs to coincide with different modes including:

• Brutal Planet (Zombie Mode)
• Cold Ethyl (Cold Ethyl Mode)
• Disco Bloodbath (Vampire Mode)
• Feed My Frankenstein (Frankenstein Mode)
• Go to Hell (Tentacle Creature Mode)
• It’s the Little Things (Insects Mode)
• Lost in American (Igor Mode)
• No More Mister Nice Guy (Werewolf Mode)
• Billion Dollar Babies (Wizard Mode)

As for added fun, there’s a functioning guillotine toy, a ball save magnet to bring you back from the dead, a moving Frankenstein monster to battle, full LED RGB lighting, and an incredible art package from Zornow Must Be Destroyed. Fun like this doesn’t come cheap at $6,450 which includes a $1,000 up-front deposit. Spooky Pinball is accepting orders beginning March 26, but won’t start shipping until later this Spring or Summer of 2018. Being a “Boo-tique” manufacturer, if you want to add some bling to your machine Spooky offers several optional upgrades for added cost including powder coating, mirrors, interior decals, and even the option for an Alice Cooper-signed game to benefit his Solid Rock Foundation. If you’re thinking about picking one up, don’t wait too long since there’s only 500 limited edition games available.
