If your kids are like mine, they already have too much candy in their lives – it seems like we just got done with Valentine’s Day candy. Well here are a few suggestions that I have personally tried out that may help with any Spring holiday shopping.
This toy by Zuru takes advantage of the “surprise toy” fascination. They seem to be nearly identical to Shopkins which are designed after food and clothing accessories. Smashers are designed after sports equipment and sports related food items like hot dogs and nachos. They come inside a plastic ball this is made of 4 plastic pieces that fit together like a puzzle and holds with no glue. When dropped or thrown to the ground, they burst open nicely, revealing the toy inside.
Also a blind pack “surprise” toy, the Tonka Tinys are exactly what the name implies. They remind me of the Micro Machines of my youth. The Tonka Tinys look just like their larger brethren although they are light plastic and not metal. Another neat feature are the playsets that are available, such as the Garage one seen here.
