Brace yourselves, folks. Tiny Rebel Games (in collaboration with Seed Studio) is bringing us an epic adventure following The Doctor, Missy, Osgood, and all-new villains in Doctor Who Infinity for PC and mobile platforms. The release date has only been listed as “Spring 2018,” but there will be a total of five episodes released throughout the year. We started hearing about this game in vague terms last year, but now the first trailer is live for us to devour.

Episode 1:

The first episode of the game is titled The Dalek Invasion of Time. As you might guess, the Daleks make their inevitable return to the Who-niverse. The Doctor and his adventurous friends traverse this adventure penned by George Mann, veteran author for the Doctor Who franchise. Bella Ramsey, the talented British actress known for her role as Lyana Mormont in Game of Thrones, plays a villain named Freya in this episode. She is also the narrator you just heard in the trailer for The Dalek Invasion of Time.

Future episodes will feature new stories, and each episode can be bought individually, like a comic book. There are no ads or microtransactions, making it a great option for parents who don’t want their kids bombarded with the trappings of commercialism.

The Art:

Players will find this episode features comic-book art styles, drawn by Mike Collins and colored by Kris Carter. These two talented artists have quite a history in the Doctor Who comics, and the art certainly holds up to the brand standard. We do know, though, that each of the five episodes will feature a unique art style. We’ll have to wait to find out if the next four episodes “feel” as much like Doctor Who.

The Cast:
Tiny Rebel Games’ steadfast dedication to authenticity means that some of our favorite BBC actors are reprising roles in the first episode. Michelle Gomez returns to play her version of The Master as Missy, arguably one of the most controversial characters in the Who-niverse. My delight, though, was to find that the wonderful Ingrid Oliver is joining in to voice her character, Osgood. I’ve been praying for the BBC to do more with Osgood, and I’m thrilled to see her character story continuing. With Bella Ramsey in on the fun, we’re sure to enjoy the star-studded voice team while we play the first episode repeatedly while waiting for the next installment.
