Bodaciously Awesome Family Show: ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’

BAFS Movies Podcasts

It’s funny how time works. I vividly remember seeing the original Star Wars Trilogy in theaters. I can recall waiting in line for hours with my dad to see Empire Strikes Back (back in the old days when the theater could only sell tickets for the next show – so you had to wait and wait and wait). Obviously, as a kid, I never thought about taking my kids to see a new Star Wars movie. Even when the prequels came out it never really crossed my mind.

Now, however, taking my kids to see a new Star Wars movie is like reliving a piece of my youth – in all the best ways. Even if my older son isn’t as captured by the movies as I’d like (the younger one certainly is). It makes me think about not only the time we spend together – but the times I spent with my dad even it was just standing in line.

So, what happened when I took the kids to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Would it enrapture them as Empire Strikes Back did to me so many years ago?
