They also incorporate original and classic artwork, designs, and textures. You can even upload your personal art and photos to make custom skins for certain laptop models and tech! The decals will protect your tech and also give it a layer of cool. The company, out of San Diego, California, has been an industry leader in personalized branded products since 2005. The products are made from the highest quality 3M adhesive vinyl with patented air release technology that leaves no residue.
The directions are pretty straightforward for applying Skinit. Clean your tech first so that it is free of any dirt, grease or residue. Remove then match the pieces on the decal sheets with your tech then and then press out any air bubbles with a finger or any form of a squeegee. It took me a little over 15 minutes to do my PS4 and the controller and that was with me fretting over exact placement and cleanliness. Once the decals were all applied they gave a nice look, feel and texture to the controller and the console.
Skinit is a great way to bring new life to your drab tech. As classy as basic black may be I wanted something new and fresh for my aging consoles. The decals gave my PS4 a little bit of character and made it pop on my media shelf. I was happy that some classic artwork was available and Van Gogh’s Starry Night was just the right tone for me and my taste. It was both easy to apply and easy to remove if you choose to try another skin or revert back to basic black. It is both great looking and a great value.
