In case you missed the announcement of the upcoming release, LEGO has released product shots for the latest Millennium Falcon in the Star Wars LEGO lineup. Technically, this is the oldest Millennium Falcon, as it is the Millennium Falcon as it completed the Kessel Run in ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story.’ The pristine white look of a Millennium Falcon which hasn’t seen so many years of abuse and wild flying helps set the mood for the equally younger Han Solo™, Chewbacca™, Qi’ra™, and Lando Calrissian™, also featured in the kit.
The Millennium Falcon kit itself features 1,414 pieces, and includes seven characters (not all of whom have been released at this time. Excitingly, the Han Solo and Chewbacca minifigures in this set reflect their more youthful counterparts in the upcoming film. Personally, I enjoy getting new Chewy minifigures, because it’s difficult to populate your LEGO world with Wookies when there are so few Wookies to be had. That said, all of the characters listed above have minifigures, as well as a Kessel droid and 2 currently unnamed figures.
The only drawback for this kit is the price. At $169.99, it is outside my 10-cent rule, and until I have the opportunity to build it, I can’t speak for the value of the specific kit. Stay tuned, though, and when we can review it, we’ll let you know. Either way, it might be worth waiting for a discount or sale price.
