Late last week Nintendo of America and The Pokémon Company International confirmed that Detective Pikachu—an action-adventure game previously only available in Japan—will be coming to the States early this year. On March 23, you, as young Tim Goodman, can solve mysteries with the help of a unique talking Pikachu. Not only will this 3DS title include all the content from Japan’s Detective Pikachu – Birth of a New Duo, it’ll also add additional chapters, new locations, and a bigger cast of Pokémon and human characters. Oh, and it’s even compatible with the positively massive Pikachu amiibo pictured above, which launches alongside the game. Between this and the reveal of a special New Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition available later this month, 2018 is shaping up to be quite a year for everyone’s favorite thunder-mouse!
