This is an easy guide on getting a complete collection of Star Wars characters, without buying duplicate characters. These sets feature every major character except Master Skywalker, who is not yet available. To fill out the cast, there are many members of the First Order, the Resistance, and the broader population of the Star Wars universe as well.

LEGO Star Wars Episode VIII Resistance Bomber
Featuring Poe Dameron and Vice Admiral Holdo, this kit may seem unnecessary at first, but it’s full of surprises. Not only does the Bomber kit include two iconic characters, it includes a mini for the Resistance gunner Paige. Of the legions of dead Resistance heroes, only Rose’s sister Paige is given a name. I think LEGO’s consideration here is a heartwarming reinforcement of Rose’s speech about saving those we love.

Star Wars Episode VIII Resistance Transport Pod
In their quest to save the Resistance, Rose, Finn, and BB-8 jump ship to find a solution, launching them into an unforgettable journey, revealing a biting commentary on warmongers and the wronged along the way. Also, I think we can generally agree that an army of BB-8 units could win this war, yeah?

LEGO Star Wars Rathtar Escape
In this epic scene from The Force Awakens, we reunited with the scoundrels we’ve all loved for decades and get a glimpse into their current operations. We also got a thrilling and terrifying addition to the Star Wars universe: Rathtars. This set features trap doors, gangsters, and the best dead-pan line in the series to date.
Finn: “It had me, but the door.”

Rey’s Speeder

Episode VIII Resistance Troop Transporter
Although we are meeting new heroes in the new trilogy, there’s always got to be a soft spot for our oldest allies. With this transporter, you get General Leia and Admiral Ackbar with a fun vehicle to pilot. It’s a fitting tribute to our now-deceased Admiral, and a solemn solute to Space Mom, the last living member of the Resistance of old.

Episode VIII Kylo Ren’s Tie Fighter
Villain, hero, troubled son, Supreme Commander, or Darth Tantrum? Kylo Ren is making his mark on this series, recalling the best and worst of Vader, while trying to find his own place in the cosmos. Thankfully, he’s never alone in the First Order… right?
