Over the last couple years of my decent into audiophilia, as I did more and more research on headphones, DACs, and amps, I kept coming across references to the deals that could be found on really good gear at a site called Massdrop. I investigated, and found a very interesting deals site that was doing some crazy cool stuff, partnering with some amazing audio brands to bring out special editions of gear that are the talk of the audiophile community.
I got a chance to review the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX headphones, which became my new baseline for comparison with all other headphones.
And then, a couple weeks ago, I got an email from the folks at Massdrop, who had noticed my positive comments about their product, and suggested maybe we could do some kind of giveaway for the GeekDad audience. To which, of course, I said YES.
