The developers of the immensely popular and top-rated Dr. Panda line of mobile apps are releasing their latest, free iOS app on Thursday, November 30 with Dr. Panda AR Christmas Tree. This uses AR technology (think Pokemon Go) to allow users to place and decorate up to six digital Christmas trees via their mobile device’s camera. Users can find presents scattered throughout the world (again, think Pokemon Go, without the need to “catch” or “battle” them in the wild), which gift them with additional decorations.
Additional features include the ability for users to take photos with their decorated trees and send them from their device’s photo album, making it easy to share the holiday with friends and family. Upon release, the app will include a virtual advent calendar, allowing users to collect in-app gifts while counting down the days to Christmas.
If you’re looking for a mobile app to help get your little ones in the holiday spirit, Dr. Panda AR Christmas Tree is possibly the best option currently in the iTunes Store.
The pedigree of the Dr. Panda team is unquestioned. The app is designed intuitively for easy pickup and use by children as young as three years old. In addition to being free, the app has no in-app purchases nor any third-party advertisements. At that price, it is certainly worth your time to download Dr. Panda AR Christmas Tree and give it a go.
Disclaimer: An advance copy of Dr. Panda AR Christmas Tree was provided for review purposes. All opinions are my own. You can form your own opinions about the app by downloading it and taking it for a spin yourself.
