We Are Entertained - Top 5 2017

Another pitiful week at the box office, another Very Special Episode of We Are Entertained! This week Matt and Chris take a look back at what 2017 has offered up so far and reminisce about some of their favorites. Everyone loves lists, at least that’s what the SEO masterminds tell me, so please accept this offering of our top 5 films of early 2017.

Chris starts this week’s episode off with a look at one of his favorite games from GenCon 2017, Photosynthesis by Blue Orange Games. The boys had a game night recently and really enjoyed this deep strategy game and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be in the regular rotation. Listen in and hear what we liked most about it and let us know what you think of our ideas for making it even better. Also, make sure you check out GeekDad’s in-depth review of the game and let us know if you have any questions!

Matt continues his journey through Anna Kendrick’s filmography and talks about the Jennifer Aniston film Cake which we inexplicably missed a few years ago despite its award show buzz. According to Matt, this film is like nothing else that Aniston has done in her career and her performance alone is worthy of adding this one to your queue (or simply sitting down and watching later tonight). Also, Anna Kendrick is a fantastic ghost. Would it be weird for Matt to have an Anna Kendrick Funko POP? Let us know what you think!

You can listen on iTunes, Google Play, iHeartRadio, and Stitcher; you can follow the RSS feed; you can download directly; or you can listen right here.

Next week we’re back to our regular format and will be talking about Wind River, be sure to tune in!
