OK, a lot to get through this week: The Doctor, digital games, expansions and so much more. Let’s go!
- Three words: Doctor Who Fluxx. Now, the punctuation: !!!!!!!!
- This week’s image is from Lark Lamp.
- The next expansion for Terraforming Mars, Venus Next, will be available very soon–on shelves in October.
- Cryptozoic has a Multiverse Box (available now) for its DC Deck-Building Game. It’s a box. A big box, which can hold all of your DC cards and it even comes with dividers, foam, randomizers, and some special cards.
- And now that you have a huge box, here’s some new stuff you can put in it: Birds of Prey is a Crossover Pack with 31 cards and six Super Hero Cards.
- Asmodee Digital announced a partnership with Playdek that brings three games under their umbrella, effective immediately: Summoner Wars (Google Play), Ascension and Twilight Struggle (Google Play, iTunes, Steam).
- We don’t do much Kickstarter stuff over here at Re-Roll, but these minis were too perfect to ignore. They’ll work great for Pandemic or whatever the-world’s-falling-apart game you’re playing.
- You might be thinking that it’s been a few weeks since the last expansion for the X-Wing Miniatures Game was announced and it must be about time for another to be revealed. And you’d be right.
- Fantasy Flight also previews their Empire at War Booster Pack for Destiny.
- And they made a big announcement over the revised Android: Netrunner Core Set. If you’re already familiar with Netrunner, read this to find out what the changes mean to you.
- Keldon Jones of Temple Gates, who did the digital port for Race for the Galaxy, is gearing up to bring you Roll for the Galaxy. Sign up for updates here.
- Start thinking about holiday presents (for you, of course) because Days of Wonder just announced Sky Islands, an expansion for Small World, coming in December.
- There are two mini-expansions for 7 Wonders, both releasing in November and priced at under ten bucks each: Leaders Anniversary Pack and Cities Anniversary Pack. Each has 15 cards and, well, happy birthday to 7 Wonders–seven years old this year.
- Neuroshima Hex gets a new army pack, Iron Gang. This comes as a reprint of old armies was also announced to be in the works. More info and artwork here.
- Let’s talk about a few new games that will be on shelves next week:
- 10 Minute Heist from Daily Magic Games. (My Kickstarted copy just arrived yesterday!)
- Magic Maze from Dude Games. This game is so much fun. (I wish I could say more, but Jonathan just flipped the timer.) Check out our review.
- Sentient from Renegade Games. Look for a review soon!
- Flick Em Up — Dead of Winter from Pretzel Games. This just cracks me up–so zany!
- Finally, a couple of digital version announcements. First, Bottom of the 9th is out today, complete with swinging meeples.
- Also out now is a beautiful digital adaptation of CGE’s Through the Ages, the award-winning game by Vlaada Chvátil and #2 ranked game on BoardGameGeek. Check it out!
