While the Supernatural Family (SPN Fam) eagerly awaits the upcoming 13th season premier of Supernatural, there’s (finally) something new to do while we wait. We get to read the new book The Men of Letters Bestiary: Winchester Family Edition, officially available today.
The newest release from Insight Editions features lore, illustrations, and strategies for killing various supernatural beings. Filled with anecdotes, stories, and trivia added in by the Winchester brothers, each entry is fascinating to peruse.

I particularly enjoyed the sections detailing characters such as Castiel. These recurring characters bring the Supernatural world closer to our hearts, because we’ve been journeying with many of these characters for over a decade!

The art is fascinating, completed in its entirety by Kyle Hotz of comic book fame. Each illustration has hidden tokens in it, each of which harken back to particular story lines and episodes. With a single image, Hotz captures the horror and supernatural essence of each beast, ghost, or changeling. I simply cannot gush enough over the art.
So, should you buy it? Well, with Amazon Prime, you can get the hardcover for $20, which is a steal. Also, you never know who will be targeted by things that lurk in the myths and legends of humanity. When the occult comes knocking, be prepared. All you have to do is pull out your Men of Letters Bestiary: Winchester Family Edition and refresh your knowledge on taking down monsters, vengeful spirits, angels, demons, and even primordial entities with the help of everyone’s favorite hunters.
