Next month–starting Friday, September 8, to be exact–North America finally gets its own Splatoon 2 Nintendo Switch bundle. Available exclusively at Walmart, this bundle includes the system itself, obviously, those highly coveted Neon Pink and Neon Green Joy Con controllers (making their first appearance in our region), a downloadable copy of my new favorite game, and a handsome Splatoon 2 carrying case.
Retailing for $379.99, it’s a solid deal. Sure, $380 is the approximate retail price of a Switch, a copy of Splatoon 2, and a system case, but it’s worth noting that both the Pink/Green Joy Cons and the bundled case are, at present, import only, so you’re saving a chunk of change by not picking those up on the secondary market.
Does this mean those elusive inkling-hued Joy Cons will be made available here in the States outside of this bundle? Only time will tell, but you can bet that I will be bugging my contacts at Nintendo of America about it at every possible opportunity.
